Message Regarding OCPM Training Program Status

Dear Certified Public Manager®:

The Ohio Certified Public Manager® Society Board (Ohio CPM Society) has had a long-standing partnership with the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) in administering the Ohio Certified Public Manager® (OCPM) training program over the past sixteen years. DAS became an accredited member of the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium (NCPMC) in June 2000, and received re-accreditation in 2005 and 2011. After more than a year of the Society working with DAS to restart the training offerings amidst their staffing changes, DAS has informed us of their decision to discontinue its membership and has requested withdrawal from the NCPMC.

The Ohio CPM Society Board will be reaching out to the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium to assist with the next steps of replacing DAS as the administrator of the OCPM training program. Under (Article II, Section 2.62), of the NCPMC Bylaws may consider admission applications from other Ohio qualified organizations to administer the OCPM program. Please be assured that every effort is being made to ensure the OCPM training program continues in the future.
